Program Description
Desmoid tumors (DTs) are fibrous neoplasms that originate in connective tissues throughout the body. These tumors can be challenging to diagnose and treat due to periods of unpredictable growth. Historically, surgery was considered as a first-line treatment option, but when local treatments fail, or tumors are unresectable, systemic therapies may be utilized. This podcast will explore evidence for the use of novel drug therapy candidates for DTs, including tyrosine kinase inhibitors. The discussion will include specific solutions and opportunities for managed care professionals to improve treatment and management of DTs by reducing clinical and financial burden of disease.
