In the United States, 37.3 million adults are living with diabetes and an estimated 1 in 5 individuals are not aware that they have it. Advances in technology associated with the management of diabetes includes the adoption of integrated continuous glucose monitoring (iCGM) devices, with their use expanding across different populations over the years. In the community, ambulatory, health-system, and other settings, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play an instrumental role in identifying potential candidates and assisting persons with diabetes that currently use iCGM devices. As iCGM technology advances, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must recognize the different capabilities and features of these devices and offer education and counseling to appropriate patients. Included in this resource center are 3 webinars, an article with an audio narration, and a panel discussion featuring patient cases and a patient perspective interview. Together, these activities will highlight important educational pearls for the implementation of iCGM in persons with diabetes and strategies for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to take a person-centered approach to diabetes care plans that address individual preferences and potential benefits of iCGM use. Individuals who complete all 5 activities will receive a certificate of completion that demonstrates their dedication to optimizing use of iCGM devices in the management of persons with diabetes.
