Program Description
Current guidelines support lifestyle modification and comorbidity management along with the use of aspirin in patients with PAD and dual antiplatelet therapy in those with CAD for secondary prevention. Despite following guideline recommendations, patients continue to experience cardiovascular events and hospitalizations. This activity will provide an overview of current guidelines for secondary prevention in CAD/PAD including the role of anticoagulation in risk reduction. The faculty will continue with assessment of the patient case introduced in the first webinar as they are diagnosed, and treatment decisions are made.
