Program Description

The rapidly evolving treatment landscape of non−small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is impacted by biomarker testing. Over the past few years, there have been significant updates to national guidelines incorporating novel molecular targets and emerging drug therapies. As pharmacists are involved in caring for patients with metastatic NSCLC, an understanding of appropriate place in therapy for this patient population is essential. This activity will review biomarker assessment, clinical data supporting use of these agents in metastatic NSCLC, and key counseling points pharmacists can share with patients receiving drug therapy.

• Characterize emerging biomarkers for precision medicine in the treatment of metastatic NSCLC
• Examine differences between therapeutic options for patients with metastatic NSCLC expressing biomarkers RET, MET, and KRAS
