Program Description
While small cell lung cancer (SCLC) accounts for only 14% of all lung cancer cases, it is typically aggressive and difficult to treat. The quick development of resistance to chemotherapy combined with limited second-line treatment options presents significant challenges for patients with SCLC and complicates medication management. This program will examine the role of delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3)-targeted therapies including their mechanisms of action, efficacy data, and adverse effect profiles. Oncology pharmacists must be informed about these investigational and emerging treatment regimens as well as updated guideline recommendations to support appropriate and effective treatment protocols for SCLC. This webinar will present oncology pharmacists with actionable strategies to not only prepare for additional second-line treatment options in SCLC but also address medication-related toxicities to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
