Program Description

Specialty pharmacists have a key role in the management of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) as the treatment landscape continues to expand. Pharmacists can provide vital education to both patients and prescribers on current and new agents used to treat PNH as well as emerging therapies. An understanding of Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies requirements, administration, preparation, dosing, and monitoring of treatments is central to overcoming potential challenges patients may experience. This final webinar in a 3-part series will focus on the role of pharmacists in optimizing care, leading multidisciplinary approaches, and providing further guidance and education on patient-centered care. A Powered by Patients™ interview will be incorporated into the activity to highlight the impact of team-based care for individuals living with PNH.

• Express the role of the pharmacist in providing team-based care and education strategies to patients with PNH
• Employ patient-centered approaches to mitigate concerns, manage adverse effects, and optimize treatment adherence in PNH throughout the patient’s lifecycle
