Program Description

Assessment of the biomarker programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) is integral in the treatment of multiple types of cancer, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In patients who are positive for PD-L1, immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy may be advantageous. As members of the health care team, pharmacists can assist in selection of biomarker-directed therapies for patients with NSCLC and can also aid in management of ICI adverse effects. This webinar is designed to educate pharmacists on the role of ICI therapy in patients who are PD-L1-positive and will also emphasize strategies for pharmacist involvement in patient care.
