Program Description

Classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) is a malignancy of young adults, accounting for approximately 0.5% of new cancer cases. Patients with a diagnosis of cHL are often cured with first-line treatment strategies; however, patients who relapse carry a worse prognosis. Novel therapies have been introduced into the treatment paradigm of cHL in both the first- and second-line settings, and pharmacists play a key role in educating patients and assisting with treatment selection. This activity will focus on the clinical data guiding treatments for cHL. Additionally, care strategies for patients will be discussed, including long-term complications of therapy and the pharmacist’s role in the development of patient survivorship programs.
