Activity Overview
Telehealth can be used to deliver a variety of virtual clinical and nonclinical services for patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth programs have become increasingly important in health care settings. Pharmacy technicians should be familiar with strategies to implement telehealth, accurately relay the information, and ensure the pharmacy has adequate technology to support these services. This activity will review advantages and disadvantages of telehealth services and offer steps pharmacy technicians can follow to assist in the development of a telehealth program.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Discuss components needed to develop a telehealth program
• Review the advantages and disadvantages of telehealth services
