Program Description:
Vaccination rates in the United States are declining across the lifespan, and much of this gap plays out one conversation at a time. Pharmacists, as the most accessible immunizers in the health care system, are not always equipped with structured, evidence-based communication training to match their vaccine science knowledge. In this moderator-led interview, a faculty expert walks through what separates effective from ineffective conversations. They will explore communication frameworks backed by the literature as well as how to guide patients through clinically appropriate, individualized vaccination decisions. Pharmacists will gain the skills and confidence to effectively address patient concerns and have meaningful conversations with patients during short encounters in the pharmacy.
