Program Description
Recent evidence suggests a potential shift in treating renal cell carcinoma (RCC), both in advanced and early stages. Combination therapies involving immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in advanced and metastatic RCC have become the standard of care. Several advantages exist with ICI-TKI combination therapy, such as synergistic effects stemming from different mechanisms of action, improved survival outcomes, and potential for delayed development of resistance. Faculty experts leading this panel discussion will discuss strategies to facilitate use of ICI-TKI combination therapy in RCC according to evidence-based guidelines. Throughout the discussion, participants will be able to examine the broader utilization of ICIs and TKIs through interactive patient cases, considering factors that may indicate benefit from adjuvant therapy, improved management of treatment-related adverse effects, or the most effective selection of combination therapy and subsequent treatment.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify first-line and subsequent treatment options for advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), considering clinical evidence, patient preferences, and sequencing
- Examine key counseling considerations for patients receiving adjuvant treatment in ccRCC, emphasizing the differences compared with counseling for those with metastatic disease
- Analyze recent clinical trial data on advanced non-ccRCC to understand the efficacy and safety of emerging treatment approaches and their impact on current clinical practice
- Employ strategies for identifying and managing treatment-related toxicities in RCC treatment, ensuring timely interventions and optimal outcomes
