Risks and Liabilities in Pharmacy Practice

Program Description

Pharmacists are surrounded by risks in clinical practice and can be subject to malpractice claims. The most common pharmacy lawsuits encountered are for dispensing the wrong medication, but pharmacists may encounter theft or robbery and harassment. This webinar will review examples of administrative, civil, and criminal legal risks to pharmacists and explore actions to comply with risk management efforts in the pharmacy. Examples of existing legal protections and cases that document the pharmacist’s duty in mitigating risks and liabilities in practice will also be discussed.
