Program Description
Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are used in the treatment of many malignancies, with expansion of FDA-approved indications for these agents. Dosing for ICIs include weight-based and flat-dosing strategies, though the recommended dosing may vary based on treatment indication and if used in combination with other therapies. This activity will review ICI dosing, as well as various dosing schemas that may be employed, particularly in the setting of COVID-19. Additionally, learners will develop an understanding of important patient counseling points and how to manage potential immune-related adverse events associated with ICI therapy.

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Compare strategies for dosing of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) with the same FDA-approved indication
- Distinguish alternative ICI dosing regimens that may be used during the COVID-19 pandemic, including extended-interval dosing regimens and lower-dose regimens
- Identify patient counseling points to set expectations for immune-related adverse events and how to manage them
