Program Description

Increased prostate-specific antigen levels can be used to determine which patients are at risk for developing aggressive disease and those who require androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) as the backbone of systemic therapy. However, long-term ADT can have substantial health effects, such as cardiovascular disease and bone health, which can impact patient quality of life. As new therapies for the treatment of prostate cancer are approved and become available, managed care professionals must assess the cost-effectiveness of new drugs and their potential to improve health-related quality of life for patients with prostate cancer. This webinar will highlight recent data presented at the 2022 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting and the managed care implications of changes to the therapeutic landscape of prostate cancer.
