Proactive Management of Adverse Effects Associated With Waldenström Macroglobulinemia to Enhance Patient Outcomes

Program Description

Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) is a B-cell malignancy that is characterized by the accumulation of lymphoplasmacytic cells that produce monoclonal immunoglobulin M (IgM). Symptoms and complications are related to the accumulation of IgM. Oral oncolytics have become integral to the treatment paradigm of WM, with Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) being central in treatment guidelines. Expert faculty will discuss patient-centered management strategies pharmacists can implement within their practice settings to help address complications and adverse effects to improve care of patients with WM.
