Precision Sequencing in Advanced GEA: Advanced Pharmacist Strategies for Targeting HER2 and CLDN18.2

Monday, December 14, 2026 | 1:00 PM & 8:00 PM ETVirtual

Program Description

Gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA), encompassing stomach, gastroesophageal junction, and esophageal adenocarcinomas, is often diagnosed at an advanced stage and carries a poor prognosis. The expanding availability of targeted therapies and immunotherapies has increased the importance of biomarker testing in guiding treatment. Oncology pharmacists continue to face challenges interpreting biomarker results, applying clinical evidence to treatment selection and sequencing, and managing mechanism-specific toxicities, including interstitial lung disease and cardiotoxicity. During this live webinar, oncology pharmacists will hear from expert faculty on approaches to managing advanced GEA and practical strategies for implementation in their own settings.

Educational Objectives

At the completion of this activity, pharmacists will be able to:

  • Apply practical biomarker testing workflows to support timely identification and clinical use of relevant biomarker results in treatment planning for advanced gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma (GEA)
  • Recognize treatment strategies in advanced GEA by applying biomarker results and clinical evidence to guide appropriate selection and sequencing of targeted and immunotherapy-based regimens
  • Manage therapy-related toxicities in advanced GEA with structured monitoring and supportive care strategies for targeted treatments

This activity is supported by an educational grant from Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
