Program Description

Multiple myeloma (MM) treatment can be complex and burdensome for patients. This program equips oncology pharmacists to combat disparities in MM care, a critical issue as factors like race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status can limit access to optimal treatment, including chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies and bispecific antibodies. Expert faculty will lead participants in a discussion on evolving data for MM therapies, understanding disparities in cancer care, and pharmacist-led strategies to improve care delivery within the MM treatment landscape. Key areas of personalized treatment planning, cultural competency, and collaboration will be addressed, ensuring that pharmacists within oncology care teams can support initiatives that provide equitable access to optimal MM treatment, ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing treatment disparities in MM.
