Program Description
Follicular lymphoma (FL) and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) are subtypes of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Treatment of both malignancies is similar, with therapy options including observation, systemic cytotoxic chemotherapy, anti-CD20–targeted therapy, and oral therapies. Patient- and disease-specific factors guide therapy decisions, and pharmacists can play an integral role in assisting with treatment selection. This activity will review clinical data and guideline recommendations for the management of both FL and MZL, with an emphasis on oral oncolytics. Additionally, the role of the pharmacist in patient care will be discussed, showcasing how pharmacists can assist in patient education, monitoring, and follow-up.
