This activity was originally broadcast live as a satellite symposium held in conjunction with HOPA 2022.
Program Description
The treatment of multiple myeloma (MM) is rapidly evolving, as novel therapies and combinations of therapies are now recommended in national clinical practice guidelines. The B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) plays a key role in MM, as it is overexpressed and activated. Drug therapies are now available that target BCMA specifically and are recommended in clinical guidelines for treating relapsed or refractory MM. This activity will review the clinical data for BCMA therapies in MM and will also explore the role of the pharmacist in mitigating adverse effects associated with these agents.
