Program Description
Lymphoma, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and follicular lymphoma (FL), often becomes relapsed/refractory despite standard chemotherapy or targeted therapies and requires novel therapeutic approaches. Bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) represent a significant advancement, yet their complex administration, potential for serious adverse effects, and the increasing trend toward community-based administration pose significant challenges for oncology pharmacists. As BsAbs gain approval for earlier lines of therapy and more indications, their use is shifting to community pharmacies and clinics. For these reasons, pharmacists within community cancer settings frequently serve as the link between the oncology clinic and local hospitals and support the coordinated care of patients with DLBCL and FL. This webinar will equip oncology pharmacists to navigate the evolving landscape of BsAbs by exploring recent FDA approvals and clinical evidence for agents across different lines of therapy. Practical approaches for personalizing treatment plans, using tools for toxicity monitoring, implementing infection prophylaxis protocols, and leading comprehensive patient and caregiver education to ensure safe and effective use of BsAbs will be emphasized.
