This program will be broadcast live from the 2024 COA Community Oncology Conference in Orlando, Florida.
Program Description
The development of bispecific antibody (BsAb) therapies represents a significant advancement in cancer care for patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), offering more targeted and effective treatment strategies. BsAbs dual targeting of cancer cells while also engaging the immune system’s cytotoxic mechanisms enhances the specificity and effectiveness of the treatment, with clinical data demonstrating improved patient outcomes. The rapid growth of BsAbs within oncology treatment paradigms has been associated with barriers to care including serious treatment-related toxicities as well as logistical considerations. As the approval, availability, and use of BsAbs expands in the treatment of patients with NHL, the role of community pharmacists will expand both clinically and operationally. This program will present key considerations for community pharmacists and equip them to safely and effectively manage transitions of care, adverse events of BsAb therapy, and barriers to access and adherence.
