Program Description
The diagnosis of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive metastatic breast cancer has historically been associated with poor clinical outcomes. The use of monoclonal antibodies, tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and antibody-drug conjugates has impacted patient care. Novel targeted therapies and combinations of treatments are now used in practice, and pharmacists are well-positioned to assist in therapy selection. This activity will focus on updates in clinical practice guidelines and will review strategies for treatment selection and sequencing, potential drug resistance, and patient-specific considerations. Additionally, the faculty will review challenging patient cases to reinforce key principles and nuances with therapy.
