Maximizing the Potential of Biologics in Moderate to Severe Pediatric Atopic Dermatitis: The Expertise of the Specialty Pharmacist

October 12, 2023 | 6:00 PM & 8:00 PM ET

This activity is part 3 in a 3-part webinar curriculum and includes pharmacist-patient counseling vignettes.

Program Description
Therapy regimens for atopic dermatitis (AD) require strict adherence to daily skin care routines and therapies that often must be administered multiple times a day. Pharmacists are key members of the multidisciplinary care team in pediatric AD and can use their training to manage clinical issues and interventions, monitor patient response to therapy, and address barriers to treatment and medication access. Informing caregivers about the proper administration and benefits of newly approved treatments for pediatric patients with AD is a critical step in improving quality of life and reducing disease burden for both patients and caregivers. This webinar features patient counseling videos that will detail communication strategies and caregiver-focused education to ensure effective and appropriate utilization of targeted biologic therapies for pediatric patients with AD.
