Health care providers, including pharmacy technicians, must stay informed on immunization updates—especially as new vaccine formulations emerge—and immunization schedules and recommendations. Many states allow pharmacy technicians to administer immunizations under pharmacist supervision. They should also be aware of managing vaccine inventory to ensure immunizations that may be in high demand are adequately stocked to meet seasonal needs and patient requirements. This webinar outlines best practices for pharmacy technicians to assist with vaccination administration, storage and handling, and vaccine uptake.
