Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common lung cancer in the United States and is a leading cause of cancer-related death in the US. The use of immune checkpoint inhibitors has impacted the treatment landscape of NSCLC, with an improvement in 5-year overall survival. This activity will review the place in therapy for biomarker-directed treatments, as well as the clinical data supporting their use in NSCLC. As these agents are associated with immune-related adverse events, appropriate management strategies will be discussed, highlighting the role of the pharmacist in patient care.
