Program Description
Non−small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the leading cause of cancer-associated deaths in the United States, accounting for 85% of all lung cancer diagnoses. Treatment of NSCLC is evolving with the addition of frontline therapies with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1), and programmed cell death protein ligand 1 (PD-L1). This program will discuss the data supporting use of ICIs in NSCLC, including the role of biomarkers when deciding therapy, and adverse effects, with an emphasis on the management of endocrinopathies associated with these agents.
