Program Description
While Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors have been shown to be effective in managing the symptoms of myelofibrosis, their toxicity profile and rates of treatment failure require personalized treatment approaches to optimize outcomes. The approval of new JAK inhibitors as well as novel classes of agents has led to increasing complexity of therapy selection. Additionally, anemia is a significant challenge in myelofibrosis, often worsening with disease progression and impacting patient outcomes. During this session, the panelists will discuss cases examining treatment selection based on patient-specific factors, switching between JAK inhibitors, and management strategies for patients with treatment-related anemia.
