Emerging BCMA-Targeted Therapies for Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma

The treatment of multiple myeloma is challenging despite the number of advancements seen in clinical practice. Treatment options include oral and intravenous therapies with various mechanisms of action. The B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) is overexpressed and activated in multiple myeloma, making it a potential therapeutic target. This activity will review available BCMA therapies, as well as guideline recommendations for incorporating these agents into therapy. Additionally, the role of the pharmacist will be discussed, with a focus on strategies for adverse effect management and optimal patient care.
