Program Description
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a complex heart condition that is often underdiagnosed, leading to inadequate treatment and causing a significant health care burden. New treatments, such as cardiac myosin inhibitors, target the underlying causes of HCM and offer symptom relief to patients. Managed care providers must be familiar with these new therapies to facilitate access and improve clinical outcomes. This program will explore the inclusion of cardiac myosin inhibitors within updated guidelines for managing HCM and the challenges and limitations of conventional therapeutic approaches. Beyond pharmacological management strategies, managed care professionals will review and discuss data-driven models for reducing health-related complications and burdens associated with HCM.
