Program Description
Multiple myeloma (MM) accounts for about 1.8% of all cancers and 15% of hematologic malignancies in the United States. Although it is rarely curable, MM is a highly manageable disease that has seen rapid medical advancement over the past decade with the advent of multiple oral agents and monoclonal antibodies as well as the use of these agents within combination regimens. This program will explore current and emerging treatment of MM, including preferred combination regimens and management of therapy-induced adverse effects. This program will also address specific practices to optimize patient education and adherence for individuals receiving treatment for MM.
