This activity is part 2 of a 3-part webinar curriculum.
This activity includes patient counseling video vignettes.
Program Description
Integrated continuous glucose monitoring (iCGM) devices can offer useful information in managing the care of patients with diabetes. There are multiple available devices, each with different features or functionalities, such as duration of use or providing alerts and alarms. It is important to use the data that come from an iCGM device. The ambulatory glucose profile (AGP) report offers insight on the daily trends of a patient’s glucose and can be used to determine a management plan for patients with type 2 diabetes. Recommendations are guided by time in range (TIR) targets that may differ for specific patients with diabetes, so individualizing the care is critical. Additional important metrics in understanding data from CGM devices and how to use the information to optimize the care of patients with diabetes will be covered. Included in this activity are counseling videos that offer important educational pearls on assisting patients with diabetes with understanding the data from their iCGM device.
