Program Description
Understanding the underlying pathophysiology of chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) is essential for its diagnosis and grading its severity to ensure more effective disease control and improved patient outcomes. Pharmacists on the multidisciplinary team caring for hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients must remain up to date on the efficacy and safety data for current and emerging therapies recommended for the treatment and management of cGVHD. This webinar will review the pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical presentation, incidence, and current and emerging treatment options for cGVHD. Patient counseling strategies addressing adverse effects of cGVHD therapies and potential subsequent therapy adjustments will also be reviewed.
