Clinical Conversations in Cancer Care: Preparing Pharmacists to Optimize Use of Bispecific Antibodies

Program Description

T-cell engaging bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) drive focused immune response to tumor antigen-presenting cells. T-cell engaging BsAbs utilize antibodies with specificity for anti-CD3 and tumor-associated antigens to produce functionality. As BsAbs are integrated into an increasingly complex treatment paradigm for relapsed and refractory hematologic malignancies, pharmacists play essential and varied roles as part of the multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The panel of experts will share perspectives on proactive approaches to overcome operational challenges associated with the placement of BsAbs in the treatment of hematologic malignancies. Strategies for safe implementation of BsAbs into treatment paradigms, including selection of therapy, preparation of products, and monitoring of patients, will be highlighted through discussions of patient cases.
