Balancing Innovation and Implementation: A Comprehensive Approach to CAR T, Bispecific Antibodies, and Operational Efficiency in Multiple Myeloma

Program Description
Despite significant advancements in the management of multiple myeloma (MM), it remains an incurable disease for most patients, with relapse an inevitable part of the disease course. While novel approaches, such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy and bispecific antibodies (BsAbs), have emerged as effective treatment in heavily relapsed/refractory disease, various barriers to the seamless integration of these therapies into clinical practice exist. Pharmacists play a vital role in MM treatment and ensuring patients receive safe and effective treatment through proper consideration of patient-specific, disease-specific, and operational factors. As such, pharmacists must be kept abreast of emerging clinical evidence and guideline-directed care to optimize drug therapy for patients with relapsed/refractory MM receiving CAR T-cell and BsAb therapies. This activity will provide pharmacists with the knowledge necessary to positively impact patient outcomes through identification of treatment challenges and implementation of strategies for improved integration.

• Identify clinical and operational challenges impeding the seamless integration of novel BsAbs and CAR T-cell therapies into the treatment of MM
• Illustrate strategies for improved integration of novel therapies for MM into clinical practice
