Program Description
Myelofibrosis (MF) is a rare but serious condition associated with bone marrow fibrosis, cytopenias, and extramedullary hematopoiesis. Historic therapies for MF have focused on symptomatic management and prolonging patient life, with the only curative option being allogeneic stem cell transplant. As MF is associated with genetic mutations, particularly with the Janus kinase (JAK) enzyme, novel therapies are in development to target specific pathways associated with disease pathophysiology. This activity will focus on JAK inhibitors used in the treatment of MF, with a review of the clinical data supporting use, as well as best practices in patient care.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

• Investigate recent clinical data on appropriate use and place in therapy for JAK inhibitors in the management of myelofibrosis
• Identify best practices to safely and effectively incorporate JAK inhibitors in treatment regimens for myelofibrosis
