This activity is part 2 in a 3-part webinar curriculum.
Program Description
Specialty pharmacists can help enhance and provide education of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) to combat nonadherence. To improve outcomes, pharmacists can account for patient preference for medications when incorporating new and emerging agents in treatment approaches. As medication experts, pharmacists should be knowledgeable of the current treatment strategies and options to optimize therapy for AMD and DME and provide individualized care to patients. This second webinar in a 3-part series of the curriculum will explore the role of the pharmacist in the management of AMD and DME, as well as the significance of recent treatment advances to patient care.
