Program Description
Multiple vaccines to combat COVID-19 have been approved or are under investigation in clinical trials. When discussing COVID-19 vaccination with patients, pharmacists must balance providing factual information with patient perceptions of the vaccine. This podcast will focus on recent safety updates regarding risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) observed with viral-vector vaccines. This exploration into the nuances of the available viral-vector vaccine will present potential increased convenience of the single-dose regimen with reported safety concerns of TTS alongside updated guidance and recommendations.
