Program Description
Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have emerged as therapeutic agents in the treatment of multiple cancer types. Though clinical data have shown favorable and improved outcomes with ADCs across malignancies, they have also been associated with acquired resistance and unique toxicity profiles. As additional ADCs enter the treatment paradigm for patients with solid tumors, oncology pharmacists must be prepared to mitigate and manage adverse effects while supporting the appropriate preparation, dispensing, and administration of ADCs. This article will also explore the pharmacologic properties of ADCs affecting their mechanism of action, efficacy, and toxicity profiles.
