Program Description
The role of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices is evolving and advancing the landscape of diabetes management. The American Diabetes Association has incorporated CGM devices into diabetes treatment guidelines, and pharmacists and pharmacy technicians have important roles in identifying patients with diabetes who would benefit from use of integrated CGM (iGCM) to improve diabetes care. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians can maximize the benefits of iCGM devices for patients with diabetes through appropriate patient education, device training, and overcoming access barriers. In this multidisciplinary panel discussion, experts will highlight the impact of iCGM technology in the management of patients with diabetes and share real-world experience and best practices with implementing iCGM in practice. Additionally, this panel will feature counseling and device demonstration videos to emphasize important discussion points for implementing iCGM in patients with diabetes.
