Program Description
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common aggressive subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with 30% to 40% of patients continuing to experience relapse or who are refractory to initial standard-of-care chemoimmunotherapy. Though treatment options for patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) disease have been limited, recently developed therapies, such as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies, antibody-drug conjugates, and investigational T-cell engaging bispecific antibodies, have shown to improve outcomes in these patients. This activity will summarize new and emerging data for these therapies in the DLBCL treatment landscape presented at the 2022 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting. The discussion will also focus on barriers to the optimal uptake of these treatments, namely financial impact and access to care, and strategies for pharmacists to assess cost-effectiveness and value of these therapies in clinical practice.
