Dr. Isaacs earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and completed residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. Dr. Isaacs holds board certifications in pharmacotherapy, ambulatory care, and advanced diabetes management. She serves on the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Professional Practice Committee, the committee that updates the ADA Standards of Care and the National Board for the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES). She advocates access to the latest technologies and therapeutics for all people with diabetes and speaks on diabetes related topics nationally and internationally. Dr. Isaacs is a Fellow in ADCES and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). She was the ADCES Diabetes Care and Education Specialist of the Year in 2020

She has cultivated the development of a pharmacist-ran endocrinology practice that manages individuals with diabetes, and was at the forefront of developing protocols for pharmacists to be involved in the management of CGM. In the pharmacotherapy diabetes space she is nationally known, having been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and presenting nationally and internationally on the topic of pharmacist-management of diabetes and CGM. Most importantly, she is exceptionally dedicated to the optimal care of her patients.”
