Overview

Oncology pharmacy advances more each year, driven by the introduction of novel targeted therapies and evolving approaches to treatment management. The Directions in Oncology Pharmacy® conference is designed to keep oncology pharmacists up-to-date with timely, practice-focused insights to help them adapt to these changes and elevate patient care. This year's meeting features a keynote session on pharmacist-led DPYD testing - a critical step toward safer fluoropyrimidine therapy and preventable harm reduction. Subsequent sessions led by clinical experts will focus on applying emerging evidence to practice, with in-depth discussions spanning both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, as well as key toxicity management considerations associated with targeted therapies. Additional content will explore evolving treatment strategies and emerging data across a range of disease states, reflecting the dynamic nature of the oncology pipeline. Check out the agenda to learn more about each session.

Given the growing intricacy of oncology treatment regimens, sessions throughout the day will integrate patient cases and interactive learning opportunities to reinforce the practical application of clinical concepts. Through these case-based discussions, participants will develop actionable approaches to optimizing therapy selection and monitoring, proactively managing adverse effects, and supporting adherence through patient-centered education.
